Day 1: Rishikesh to Karchi Village (2,286 M) via Joshimath (1,890 M)

Begin your journey from the spiritual town of Rishikesh and head towards the picturesque Himalayan hamlet of Karchi Village, the base for the Kuari Pass Trek. En route, pass through Joshimath, a town steeped in history and mythology. The drive treats you to breathtaking vistas of the Garhwal Himalayas. On arrival at Karchi, settle in and relax at a local homestay.

Day 2: Karchi Village (2,286 M) to Akhrotghetta Campsite (2,870 M) via Lord Curzon Trail

Distance: 5 km | Duration: 4 hours (Trek)
After breakfast, begin your trek along the legendary Lord Curzon Trail. The route winds through dense oak, pine, and rhododendron forests, gradually opening up into lush alpine meadows. The day’s destination, Akhrotghetta Campsite, is set amidst a tranquil walnut forest. Unwind and enjoy the pristine natural surroundings.

Day 3: Akhrotghetta to Khullara Campsite (3,390 M)

Distance: 5.5 km | Duration: 3 hours (Trek)
Today’s trail gently climbs through undulating meadows and forested patches, offering occasional glimpses of distant snow-clad peaks. The Khullara Campsite offers panoramic views and a peaceful setting to relax in preparation for your ascent to Kuari Pass.

Day 4: Khullara to Kuari Pass (3,875 M) and Return

Distance: 9 km | Duration: 7 hours (Trek)
This is the highlight of your adventure. Trek to the majestic Kuari Pass, traversing stunning high-altitude meadows and rocky landscapes. At the pass, soak in jaw-dropping views of Himalayan giants like Nanda Devi, Trishul, and more. After spending time at the pass, return to Khullara Campsite for a night under the stars.

Day 5: Khullara to Karchi Village

Distance: 11 km | Duration: 4 hours (Trek)
Retrace your steps down to Karchi Village, reflecting on the memories and accomplishments of the trek. Reconnect with the warm hospitality of the village and spend your final night in the Himalayas.

Day 6: Karchi Village to Rishikesh

Distance: 275 km | Duration: 10 hours (Drive)
Bid farewell to the mountains as you drive back to Rishikesh, carrying unforgettable experiences and breathtaking visuals of the Kuari Pass trail.
